American actress Claudia Ann Christian was born on August 10, 1965 in Glendale, California. Aside from being an actress, she was also a writer, singer, musician, and director. After sometime, her family moved to Connecticut. Claudia Christian has two younger sisters and three older brothers who are genetic engineers and veterinarians.

Claudia Christian had her first acting experience at the age of five when she played a Native American in a school play. Her family moved back to California. After graduating from high school at 16, she went and set out to pursue her acting career. Christian worked in a coffee house and a clothing store for two years before landing her first acting role on the soap Dallas in 1978. Her next appearance was in 1984 where she played Kara in the television movie, Calendar Girl Murders.

In 1987, Claudia Christian made one of her most memorable performances in her feature film debut for her role as a stripper in the cult classic The Hidden. She went on to star in over 40 films including Clean and Sober (1988), Maniac Cop 2, Hexed (1993), 20th Century Fox's The Chase (1994). She also starred in Adam Rifkin's Never On Tuesday (1998). Movie fans watched Christian at the box office with Steven Seagal in the action thriller, Half past Dead in 2002. In 2004, she returned to the live stage starring in the play What the Night Is For with Kip Gilman at the Laguna Playhouse.

At present, Claudia Christian was still very much active, appearing on movies, TV series and plays. Aside from acting, one of her passions is music. She can play the piano and the guitar. She also found joy in writing songs. In her first CD Taboo, which she co-produced with Michael Jay, she has written both the lyrics and the music of her songs. She has released four albums namely Taboo, Claudia Squared, Once Upon a Time and Area 51. Claudia has also written a series of children's books called The Misadventures of Miss Emma Bradford.

Claudia Christian's voice was also heard in many different venues including live-action internet online game Earth and Beyond, play station game Shrek 2, commercial Jaguar Automobiles and her very successful audio books series from the Radio Repertory Company of America, Anne Manx. Trouble On Chromius, the last installment of Anne Manx, won the Golden Headset award for Best Ensemble Cast in 2003.
